What you'll be doing
- Design the learning systems that let the engine adapt its own behaviour within hard risk limits.
- Build the training, evaluation, and simulation environments for market-making agents.
- Work the line between learned policy and explicit control — knowing when each belongs.
- Instrument agents so their decisions are observable, auditable, and safe to deploy.
What we're looking for
- Real experience applying RL or ML to sequential decision-making — ideally in markets or control.
- Healthy respect for the gap between simulation and live behaviour.
- Engineering rigor — your models ship with tests and monitoring, not just papers.
- Judgment about where autonomy helps and where it must be bounded.
